Lesigns Portfolio

Here are a couple of projects by Lesigns.

This online magazine features new interviews and other celebrity scoops, as well as monthly reviews and contests.

Back-end programming includes an on-site mailing list, feedback and other contact forms, a what's new and site search generator, and contests with randomly generated winners.

January 2008 update: While the main structure is still there (as seen in the thumbnail above), TheStarScoop's owner learned so well from my tutoring that she decided to change the colors and images on her own, giving it a whole new look.

In 2005, I decided to set up a sociopolitical think tank on a remotely hosted message board system, and chose Runboard.com.  The design for Temple of Illusia is an ancient Roman theme, due to the fact that the political and religious systems of the United States were pretty much defined there, and there are many parallels which follow that fact.

Choosing a remote host presents challenges of its own.  Without access to the root files, one must work with what they're given, which can sometimes mean using some improper coding techniques.  For this reason, I don't suggest a remotely hosted message board for professional websites, but they serve well for personal use.

Global Network Administrator

In July of 2007, Runboard approached me to become a global administrator for their large network of message boards, and I graciously accepted the position.  Along with responsibilities that involve security and policy enforcement, my specialized function as a member of RB staff is tech support, helping people customize their boards, and repairing problems they may create with their coding.
